So, we leave tomorrow to visit Grandma Annie and Pagah! Eleanor, Savannah and I will be there for a week. I am looking forward to relaxing, sewing, hanging out with sister Eliza and fam and just being with my mom! It's amazing how much preparation I had to do to be gone....almost more than just being here full time. Whew!
It will be sad to leave Xander, Garrett and Daddy Jason at home, but the boys will survive! Xander and Garrett can both cook and (sometimes) clean and entertain themselves. They have school everyday, so they will just have the afternoons to figure out.....
"Leaving on a jetplane....."sing with me! "Don't know when I'll be back again..."

Happy Birthday to Grampa Johnnie and Garrett
Yeah, I know what you are thinking....What in the world is THAT!?!?!?!??!?!?!?
THAT!?!?!?!? my dear friends is a Native American Teepee made out of pretzels and fruit roll-ups. Compliments of yours truly who always goes to the outer stretches of her creative limits for her children's birthdays. I guess it is actually my own fault, as I encourage lots of creativity in the home. Garrett studied Native Americans as part of his second grade year. He has really taken a liking to it and loves everything about it. Consequently we are having a Native American Pow Wow Party for his eighth birthday. Grandma Butler would be proud! She would have loved Garrett and he could have sat at her knee and learned everything she knew - just like I got to! He celebrated his first birthday at her bedside and she went to live with Heavenly Father the next day. I sometimes wonder if his love for Native Americans was a kindred spirit to that little guy with his great grandma. We love you Grandma Butler and miss you! Now, see! When you put all the teepees together, it makes it look more realistic! Squaw workem hard to make braves happy! Have good grub for braves classmates. I got the ultimate compliment from one of his classmates - he told Garrett these were 100% better than the cool alien cupcakes from last year. Those had been his all time favorite birthday treats until today....yeah, I rock as a mom!
