Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Just so you know, there is less than six months until Christmas.....yes, I can always keep track of that because of my birthday!  And I always know it is close to my birthday because the fireflies come out and the fireworks stands do too!  This year my birthday was busy!  I had two doctors appointments, once again trying to be aggressive about figuring out my crazy health issues.  The kids also had appointments.  My dad was so sweet!  He called and told me he needed chocolate frosting to go with the chocolate cake he made me for my birthday.  Savannah helped to frost it......

In the afternoon, there was some down time and I sat and watched my dad and the girls play "monster" on the trampoline.  The squealing and laughter was so enjoyable!

We had a yummy dinner of chicken enchiladas, my choice, and then it was off to a Court of Honor for Xander and Garrett.  Xander went up in rank to Star.

I came home to this awesome table decorated for the party!

The chocolate cake......and the cute hubby....
 Happy Birthday to me!!!

These are the best presents in the world!
I can blow out four candles in one breath.....

No birthday would be complete without balloon dogs, of course!

I decided we were going to do firecrackers to celebrate how awesome I am.....
 Stuplefy!

Stuplefy right back atcha!  This is the game the kid play and sparklers made it even better!

 Lovin' my husband!
 Forty three and fabulous!
It was such a beautiful night we just hung out in the driveway and talked and played.....with the balloon dog, of course.....
Xander being weird on his bike!
 Lovin' with Grandpa Johnnie.....
Remember the "super cool" dance?  It's back!
Just a little more sassy and a little more grown up.....

The boys rode their bikes until they couldn't see anything!
It was a great birthday!  I am so blessed to have a great family, good kids, an awesome husband and a dad who likes to bake chocolate cakes!  Here'e to another great year!!!

This boy......

This boy, Xander, made honor roll again.  He was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.  He got all A's and a B in Math...all honors classes.
This boy went up another rank in scouts.  He is on track to get his eagle in the next year at age 14.
This boy did an amazing job at his piano and flute recital.
His volleyball team won second place in the tournament!
He has worked so hard this year and has grown up so much!
He has really done a great job in everything he is doing!
He makes me so proud to be his mom!
And the thing I like most about him?  He loves to give me hugs!

The Girls Weekend.....

This year Eleanor refused to play sports.  She wanted to dance.  It took me forever to get my act together to put her in a class.  She loved it!  She was good at it.  She put one hundred percent effort into it!  At the end of the class, they did a presentation for us.  Here are some of the things she learned.....

I was never a dancer.  I always wanted to dance, but there was never an opportunity to do so.  There is just something so darling about a little girl in a tutu.  I thought she was so beautiful and feminine!

Her teacher was amazing also!  We loved our ballet class.  Now we have to take the curriculum classes.  That basically means more money and time.  She is begging to continue, so I guess we will try it....
That same afternoon, we had a violin recital for Jason's studio.  Savannah and Eleanor played in the recital.  Garrett was at a scout campout and Xander stayed home to meet Garrett when he came home.  Busy day!
Savannah stole the show with her cuteness.....

Eleanor did an amazing job on her solo.  She is getting so good at the violin!
No concert is complete without flowers for my girls in their favorite colors!  Yellow for Savannah and pink for Eleanor!
A very proud momma with her girls!!!

Just a few fun pictures after the concert......
