This is Garrett's first year at Cotillion. My dear friend, Marilyn, runs a local chapter of the National Junior League of Cotillions in the area. It is an etiquette class that lasts an entire year. I am a huge fan of learning manners, especially in young men. I am also a huge fan of learning how to dance properly. Cotillion is the perfect way to learn manners and dance. So Garrett, my handsome young son is in his first year. Just like his brother, he really enjoys it.
Because Xander has already completed two years, he is now a student assistant and helps the students through their dances and what to do during the Winter Ball that is held.
When you enter the room, you have a lady on your arm and you are to properly introduce yourself and her to the host that is standing there. It is usually parent volunteers, so they are very forgiving if you forget something!
I was thrilled with the girl Garrett was chosen to escort first. Ary'anna is one of my favorite girls. She looked beautiful that evening !
Because there are more young ladies than young men usually, Xander has to step in and introduce also.
It was fun for me also, as all the ladies met in the lounge to have some food and drink.
I have to tell you, I cannot believe how grown up and handsome this young man is! He is such a great boy and willing to learn to be polite and dance. Great Job, Garrett!
And the favorite part of the whole evening was getting a picture with my two sons! I am a lucky momma!
