HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014

I have a really difficult New Year's Resolution this year...one of the hardest I have ever made.
It won't be easy to keep, but I know that going in.
I am going to start saying "NO" to requests.
For me, it is a big thing.
I overbooked myself last year.
I let important things slide.
I wore myself out and was grouchy at myself and my family.
I stopped exercising.
Just stuff like that that cannot happen again.
I need time for myself and my family to be organized and ready to take on the world.
My kids are growing up too fast and I don't want to miss it.
I also am going to start blogging again.  I need to take the time to document what is happening in our family.  I cannot be too busy for that.
So, here I go on my new adventure!
Some of the posts are going to be "catch up" posts with not a lot of great writing, but I need to get back on track and caught up.
So, a very Happy New Year to everyone!
I can't wait to see more of you!

Garrett Gets the Priesthood!

Turning twelve means you are eligible to receive the priesthood!  This day was special because we got to have Great Grandma Brown and Aunt Susie from California come and visit us.  And, of course, Garrett Janiak and his Grandma.  Congratulations, Garrett!  We love you!

Four generations!  Great Grandma, Grandma, Dad and Garrett!

The Garretts and MeeMaw!

An afternoon at the Library!

I took Savannah and Paytin to the library today.  Paytin is staying with us again.  Her mom is trying to figure out life....again.  She is a doll and we love her.  It is a lot of work to have a two year old again in the house.  But a trip to the library is always worth is!

Garrett Janiak's Baptism

Garrett Day and Garrett Janiak are true friends.  They have known each other since birth.  There is a special bind between them.  Garrett Janiak is "Janiak" to us and Garrett Day is "Garrett Ross" to them.  It somehow distinguishes them.  They have different interests and yet the same interests.  They live 45 minutes away, but we do our best to get them together.
Janiak is being raised by his Grandma, Doris Janiak.  She is an amazing woman.  We love her and she is doing a great job raising him.  He sees his biological mother about every other week or so.  Because of this, it took a long time for him to be baptized.  But, her decided to do it this year.  We are so proud of him!  Congratulations, Janiak on your decision!  We love you!

Garrett's 12th Birthday Party

Yes, that is a 1 and a 2!  Twelve!  I cannot believe that he is actually that old!  We went to a laser tag place for his birthday.  Everyone loved it!  He loved it!  That's all that matters!  Happy Birthday to my amazing young man!  I love you so much!
