Busy...busy...busy.....

Last weekend, this is how it played out.....Flute recital for Xander.  I am always impressed by how well he is doing on the flute.  He commented to me after the concert how none of the Seniors who he was playing with played their part in this one piece.  He was playing solo.  He said, "I was the only one who knew my part!"  Grandma confirmed it later when she thanked him for playing when everyone else fell into the ocean and faked it.  He practices almost every day without being asked and he is very talented.  Good Job, Xander!
Cello Recital, just a few hours later.  Garrett did an amazing solo on his cello.  He is doing so well and received superior ratings from the judges at solo festival.  I had the privilege of accompanying him.  Grandma told him later that he and another boy were the only ones who played perfectly!  Great job, Garrett!!!
Volleyball tournament - we rushed to get there and we were a little late, but made it in time to watch him play a few games and get second place as a team!!!!

I'm really bummed, because Xander doesn't want to play volleyball anymore.  He is a good player, but there aren't men's teams out here.  (Most play on Sunday and are club teams)  So, he had told me he doesn't want to play.  I am sad......
Maybe he doesn't realize how cool it is to be surrounded by all these girls!

Then it was off to a soccer game!   Garrett has done really well with soccer.  He loves to play and he is really good.    We have had the privilege of having Grandpa Johnnie to help coach the team.

And these two little troopers are the best supporters!

Whew!  What a crazy weekend and there's more this weekend! This weekend is ballet, soccer tournaments and piano recital.....
