Our Ward has a tradition that every beginning of the year we have an activity called Breakfast with my Teacher. The Bishopbric cooks pancakes and teachers bring toppings to put on the pancakes. 
The kids love it! They love being able to "hang out" with their teacher and get to know them better...and see how many toppings you can put on a pancake!
There is a sock and slipper contest, complete with a parade and a dance party also. It's a good way to work off the sugar high! It is a huge success and we always have so much fun!
